BIO
The pursuit of knowledge and education has been one of Justin Nelzen's biggest influences in the equine industry. Justin has attended and graduated from numerous schools and clinics from across the country. Some of these schools and achievements include the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School, Equissage (Equine Sports Massage Therapy), Journeyman Farrier Certification by the BWFA as well as clinics ranging in topics from hoof balance, Founder treatment and endurance training. 2008 marked Justin's first year of Endurance and Competitive Trail competition. From the start he took the sport by storm, winning his first endurance competition he ever attended. Since, Justin has won or trained individuals who won numerous Endurance and Competitive Trail competitions. Some of his achievements include two Bronze medals at the North American Endurance Race, Grand Champion Competitive Trail Horse and Rider, Regional Championships, training Zar, the U.S. horse ridden by Elenn Rapp who represented the U.S. in the Presidents Cup and Lilly who was an alt. for the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Justin was the first American to be invited to the Mongol Derby, the worlds longest endurance race in Mongolia. The Mongol Derby is a 1000km (650 mile) race across Mongolia. Not only was he the first American invited but he also WON the derby! Justin has raced and trained horses overseas (UAE, Qatar, Mongolia and Mexico to name a few) and encourages any questions regarding Endurance, Competitive Trail, Hoof Care or anything else related to the equine profession.
