How it Works
EquiPro Online Coaching for Endurance Racing and  General Fitness
                     How it Works

Step 1. Consultation

The first step in the coaching process is the initial consultation, during which I try and learn as much about your riding, training and race background, goals, and time commitments as possible. The consultation will be conducted via email or telephone, whichever method is most convenient for you. The more information you provide to me, the better I can tailor the schedule to you.

Step 2. Training Schedule

After the initial consultation, I will start writing your training program. Typically, I will create a long term plan in “pencil” with the goals you hope to accomplish and the road-map for us to get there. If you purchase the personal or in-person coaching option, I will send you the first three or four weeks of training in your training document. Typically, I send out the training in three to four week blocks, which helps us keep it flexible. If you purchased a customized schedule, I will include the entire length of the training schedule you purchased.

Step 3. Review

Once you receive the training schedule, review it and make sure you understand all the workouts and does it fit your expectations. If you have any questions or require any adjustments, get in touch with me and I will adjust as necessary.

Step 4. Execute

A training plan is only as good as the person who can follow it, so do your best to follow the schedule. Certainly, I know that this is never 100% possible; this is why you got a coach! Do your best and don’t be afraid to ask questions along the way.

Step 5. Adjustments

If you’re on the customized plan, you can email me your results weekly/monthly and I will adjust for future training as necessary. If you purchased the personal or in-person coaching option, I will follow your training weekly and ensure that you are getting the maximum benefit from each workout and your horse is  recovering properly. I will make modifications to the schedule to ensure success and take your progression and adjustments into account when I write your new schedule.

Step 6. Success

With the ability to customize the schedule specifically to your horse and the opportunity to make training modifications as necessary, I guarantee that you will improve your results and have more fun riding. I haven’t coached a horseman yet who has not accomplished their goals. Isn't it time for you to add you name to that list!

I. Customized Schedules

Customized schedules are designed for people who need an expert training plan to follow for a designated period of time and don’t need a lot of changes or require a lot of feedback once they get going. Schedules are typically written in 10-16 week blocks, depending on your goals and the amount of time you have to accomplish them.

Customized schedules are perfect for the rider who just wants a training schedule for a specific goal race or training segment or riders who are new to endurance or fitness and just need a basic plan to follow. All of the customized schedules are hand created to fit your specific riding background, current fitness and goals.

How does it work? First, we have a consultation, on the phone or via email to review your current and past training (whichever method works best for you). During this consultation, I help you set goals as well as take into account your outside time requirements so I can fit the training plan around your life and schedule to ensure that you will be successful.

After our consultation, I will have the full schedule written for you typically within 24-48 hours. You can review, make comments, provide suggestions, and ask questions. I want to ensure that the schedule I write works for you. To be successful, a training plan should be something you believe in, understand and is in synch with your goals, ability level and time commitments.

The customized schedules include…

* A full customized training program exclusively designed to take into account your ability, fitness level, goals, and training history.

* Receive monthly adjustments on training.

* Weekly email communication

* Race Planning

II. Personal Coaching

Personalized coaching (my most popular program) is perfect for the experienced rider looking to breakthrough to new personal bests or the new rider intimidated by their first race and anyone in-between looking for the one on one attention only an expert can provide.

The personal coaching service provides access to coaching full time. That is unlimited questions, phone calls, emails and text messages. You will be provided with a custom schedule for the entire length of your training cycle right up until the big race. I will analyze your training weekly and make necessary adjustments as you progress.

During this consultation, I help you set goals as well as take into account your outside time requirements so I can fit the training plan around your life and schedule to ensure that you will be successful.

After our consultation, I will begin to analyze your training/riding and put together a long term training plan for guaranteed success. I will have the first four weeks of the training written for you within 24-48 hours. You can review, make comments, provide suggestions and ask as many questions as you need.

III. In Person Coaching

In Person Coaching
The in person coaching is for riders in the Bellville, TX (and surrounding areas) who desire to have one-on-one workouts with me. The in person coaching includes all of the benefits of the personal coaching, but also includes 0ne in-person coaching session per month (think of it as a riding lesson on steroids). During the in person coaching session, I will:

* Answer any questions you have about training and your workouts

* Examine any areas of fitness or riding that you may have concerns with

* I will personally oversee one of your running workouts. This can include personal pacing, timed workout session, mileage workouts or whichever you choose

* After your workout, I will provide feedback on your workout, riding and provide motivation as well
